High school principal promotion is latest in summer of success for Ed.D. students, grads
Janice Jones, the new principal of West Valley High School in Hemet, California, is the latest in a summer and spring filled with promotions for current students and graduates of the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in organizational leadership program in the School of Education. Jones, who was previously the assistant principal, is featured in a story the Valley News. She expects to complete her Ed.D. in December.
Eric Dahlstrom is also the subject of a profile in the Valley News following his promotion to principal of Tahquitz High School in the Hemet Unified School District. He expects to finish his Ed.D. in December.
Marilyn Saucedo was officially appointed assistant superintendent of Education Services for the Perris Union High School District. She was in the first (Alpha) class of the Ed.D. program.
Tracy Robinson‘s promotion to assistant superintendent for Human Resources/Educator Effectiveness includes being the ADA coordinator for the Solano County Office of Education. She is also a consultant with Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) and working on aligning the Clear Administrative Credential Program (CACP) with other California teaching credential standards. She earned her Ed.D. in May.
Michele Miller Lenertz is now principal of Washington Elementary School in the Riverside Unified School District. She is a member of the Delta class and the Yucaipa cohort.
Brita Davidson received new responsibilities in her position as an education specialist at the Burbank Unified School District. She now oversees autism programs. She is in the Delta class and the Yucaipa cohort.
Kimberly Chastain, who expects to earn her Ed.D. in May 2017, is the new principal at Aspire Public Schools, Summit Charter Academy.
