CEO of Vans and VF Action Sports visits Brandman business class
Kevin Bailey, president of VF Action Sports and Vans, visited Brandman University in Irvine to speak with business students on Thursday evening. Joe Cockrell, vice chancellor for Communications, took the opportunity to record a special podcast with Bailey for the Brandman Speaks audio series, with students and faculty as the audience. Bailey spoke about a wide variety of topics including his career journey, his thoughts on leadership and company culture, and shared his advice for business students. Vans, which celebrated its 50th anniversary last month, has become an iconic brand in footwear, growing to more than $2 billion annual revenue under Bailey’s leadership. The company was formed by brothers Paul and James Van Doren in Anaheim and was acquired by VF Corp. in 2004. The podcast will be released next month.
