Executive vice chancellor of marketing appointment announced
Roger Lee has been appointed to serve as the new Executive Vice Chancellor of Marketing at Brandman University, Chancellor Gary Brahm announced this week. He’ll start on Monday, April 18th.
“Roger is an accomplished marketing executive who brings a wealth of experience to Brandman, most recently serving as the Vice President of Integrated Marketing at Kaplan Higher Education in Florida,” Brahm said.
During his 15-year tenure at Kaplan Lee accomplished many successes in the endeavor to elevate the company brand at a national level. His expertise includes overall marketing management, creative direction (including copywriting, graphic design and production), media buying, research analysis, and staff and budget management.
“As an accomplished integrated/ brand marketing leader, Lee is quantitatively driven, with a notable capacity not just for gathering critical data, but also astutely interpreting it and reacting to it with suitable courses of action,” Brahm added.
Lee’s professional background began with an intensive focus on creative direction and its various aspects with positions at agencies in the Bay area, including copywriting, graphic design, and production. Through extensive work in this area, he has led creative teams and has previously been in charge of logo development, editorial (messaging), mechanical art, pre-press and press supervision, and compliance. At Kaplan, the multifold schools and brands of the organization were essentially his internal clients, and he was charged with taking them to market.
Lee earned a B.A. in economics and American literature from the University of California, Santa Cruz, an MFA at Naropa University, and holds a graphic design qualification from UC Berkley. As an adjunct faculty member at the Pratt Institute he has taught courses in Photoshop, web design, digital portfolio, and web content development.
