MyPath among international case studies in new publication
Brandman University and its competency-based program MyPath is the focus of a case study published in Higher Education Academy (HEA)’s “Learning Excellence” publication. The 122-page report features 26 international case studies, focusing on new approaches to assessing learning; ensuring graduates are employable; international students and learning styles across cultures; recruiting new types of domestic students and the pedagogical developments they require and improving student retention and attainment.
Brandman University was evaluated for approaches to assessing learning and for recruiting new types of domestic students and the teaching methods required.
“Brandman addresses the national challenge of expanding affordable, accessible and high quality opportunities that meet the needs of students and employers,” wrote the case study’s authors. The university’s emphasis on and investment in assessing student performance and learning outcomes for different stages of students’ careers drew special attention.
