Dr. Deb Ferber, a Brandman University faculty member who helped raise Tech Coast Angels funding for grandPad®, saw her efforts rewarded this month when publicly traded Acer made an equity investment in the company. Ferber was a customer sales lead mentor.

The partnership aligns the two companies with similar missions: providing safe and simple technology that empowers all users. grandPad, with its strengths in software and services, will be able to tap into Acer’s extensive experience and resources in computing and communication, including its hardware design capabilities, according to a press release issued by the companies. Acer invested $11.04 million.

Ferber offers advice to entrepreneurs through her work at Brandman and as a key member of Tech Coast Angels.
