Brandman adjunct elected to Modesto City Schools board
Desiree Romo, who was appointed to fulfill a vacancy on the Modesto City Schools board of trustees in January, earned the approval of voters in November and will serve at least two more years on the board. The adjunct faculty member was sworn in last week along with new Modesto City Council members and other members of the school board. She ran unopposed for the two-year term, according to the Modesto Bee.
Romo holds a master’s degree in public administration. Besides her work at Brandman’s Modesto campus, she is a career services adviser and business program director at Heald College. She serves on the board of directors of the Stanislaus County Latino Chamber of Commerce.
