Kashani book looks at how movies change lives
Adjunct faculty member Tony Kashani‘s new book “Movies Change Lives: Pedagogy of Constructive Humanistic Transformation Through Cinema” is scheduled for December publication by Peter Lang Publishing.
The book, which looks at how movies can be a vehicle for personal and social transformation, is based on his doctoral thesis for his Ph.D. in humanities earned from the California Institute of Integral Studies. The book looks at the universal appeal of movies in a time of globalization and their use at the college level when paired with critical analysis.
Kashani teaches courses in humanities and media studies online.
