Military service: I retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2010 after 27 years of service as an intelligence officer, with the rank of lieutenant colonel.  Here is a photo of me at the office at Camp Liberty Iraq, 2010. I am and alumnus (M.A.O.L. 2015) and current doctoral student.

What does Veterans Day mean to you? Veterans Day honors the service and sacrifice of military personnel.  For me, personally it is gratifying to have that acknowledgement and allows me to engage people in the conversation about what veterans need from our government.  I am lucky to not have severe problems that many do, so I like to advocate for them to repay them for what they did for me.
