Inside Brandman: Making education accessible
The Office of Accessible Education and Counseling Services approves and coordinates accommodations and services for students with disabilities in order to acquire skills essential to achieve academic and personal success. Help is available to students with hearing impairment, visual impairment, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), learning disabilities and many other conditions and impairments.
Registration with the Office of Accessible Education and Counseling Services is on a voluntary, self-identifying basis. Services are only available after a student has registered and presents certified current documentation of the specific disability from a psychologist, physician, or other appropriate professional. All information and documentation are strictly confidential.
The office strives to maximize each student’s educational potential by helping to develop self-advocacy, responsibility, independence, and to promote personal growth.
