September 15, 2015 by Cindy O'Dell

DodgeBookCoverDr. Laurie Dodge, Brandman University vice chancellor for institutional assessment and planning, wrote a chapter on competency-based education (CBE) for “The Urgency of Now.” The book, part of a community college book series, looks at what community colleges and all of higher education must do to generate graduates in possession of high quality degrees and credentials. Four other authors discuss comprehensive assessment, new roles for accreditation and faculty engagement strategies.

The book is available starting Sept. 15 at Amazon and Barnes and Nobel. Dodge and the other authors will be in San Diego on Oct. 15 for a presentation, book signing and reception at the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) Congress.
