For the past 18 months, Nick Lacy, director of CBE national relations and strategic business development, has been getting the word out to businesses, from Fortune 500 companies to smaller concerns, about the benefits of competency-based education (CBE). He’s had a few obstacles to overcome, including explaining to business leaders how CBE changes education and meets the concerns many have had about the value of supporting degree programs for their employees.
