Michael Moodian appointed to Commission on Judicial Performance
Dr. Michael Moodian, associate professor of social science at the Irvine campus of Brandman University, is now a public member of the California Commission on Judicial Performance. Gov. Jerry Brown made the appointment Thursday.
The independent state agency investigates complains of judicial misconduct and judicial incapacity and imposes discipline. The four-year appointment does not require confirmation.
Moodian began teaching in the Chapman University System in 2007. He holds a doctorate of education in organizational leadership from Pepperdine University, a master’s degree in communications from Cal State Fullerton and is the editor of a graduate textbook, “Contemporary Leadership and Intercultural Competence,” in wide use around the world. He has served as chairman of the World Affairs Council of Orange County and been a guest op-ed contributor on social and political issues for a variety of newspapers and publications.
