War veteran finds support in four-legged friend

The journey for Ana Sarver, who earned both a bachelor’s degree and master of arts in organizational leadership (MAOL) from the Brandman University Walnut Creek campus, has not been an easy one. A traumatic brain injury during her second deployment in Iraq while serving the U.S. military left her suffering from PTSD. But she found support in a furry fella named Vito and her fellow Brandman students. Vito was specially trained by Operation Freedom Paws, which has helped numerous combat veterans. This is their story.
