Brandman grad will lead Garden Grove fire department

Brandman alum Tom Schultz, deputy chief of operations for Fullerton and Brea Fire Departments, has been chosen by Garden Grove as the city fire department’s 13th fire chief.

He’ll begin his job in Garden Grove on April 29.

“I’m very excited about building on the great foundation of the Garden Grove Fire Department and working with the department members, staff, city officials, and community to accomplish great things in an inclusive and collaborative manner,” said the new chief as reported by a press release from the city of Garden Grove.

Schultz earned a bachelor’s degree in applied science from Brandman. The complete press release can be found here.
