Furniture donation aids Veterans Resource Center

The Veterans Resource Center study area.
The Veterans Resource Center opened at Yuba College for the spring semester with a little help from Brandman University.
With a limited budget, the Student Veterans Association relied on desks and chairs from Brandman and a couch and wireless router from private donors to make their resource center a reality. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and has computers, study tables, a lending library and lounge area with a big screen TV.
The new center was featured in an article in Yuba College’s independent student news source The Prospector written by Dale Holder.
The donation shows how Brandman supports both veterans and its community college partners, said Jay Warner, assistant vice chancellor for real estate and facilities.
