Brandman student will be a ‘Rising Star’ at international nursing conference

Joanne Patterson, who is in the family psychiatric nurse doctoral program at Brandman, will present “How Are You?: Mobile Mental Health Options for Anxiety and Mood Disorders” at the July 24-26 meeting Sigma Theta Tau International’s Nursing Research Congress.

The meetings will be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Patterson’s presentation was chosen for the Rising Stars of Scholarship and Research Poster Program.

Patterson participates in the Marybelle and S. Paul Musco School of Nursing & Health Professions DNP program while working in Georgia and attending immersion programs in Irvine. Her mentor is Kathleen T. McCoy, DNP and assistant professor and director of the Psychiatric & Mental Health DNP Program at Brandman.
