Better Together Teacher Summit
The School of Extended Education, with the School of Education, received Gates Foundation funding to provide California Teacher Summit training for 140 participants.
Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) grant
A CTC classified-to-credential program partner grant funded more than 200 students for degree and credential completion. It was done in partnership with the School of Education.
New programs and credentials
New programs introduced in 2017 include “Coaching for Educators,” several new K-12 certificates, new dual-enrollment programs and, with the School of Education, the new Administrative Clear Credential program. The school had 14,000 total enrollments, not counting corporate training.
Proposal requests awarded
The Orange County Fire Authority, City of Anaheim, City of San Jose and Chicago Public Schools all accepted proposals submitted by the school.
New webinar series
More than 2,500 registrants participated in a new series of webinars touching on everything from cannabis in the workplace to learning how to adapt communication styles.
New corporate partnership opportunities developed with other Brandman schools and departments included Esri, Microsoft and Road Trip Nation.
