Brandman University webinars focus on racial equality, social justice

IRVINE, Calif. (July 28, 2020) – The School of Extended Education at Brandman University is hosting several free webinars to help teachers, business professionals, and caregivers serving in behavioral health fields contribute to a more equitable society.

The next webinar in the series, “Racial Healing: How to Become a Mindful Ally,” is scheduled to take place from 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, July 29. The event will include discussions of such topics as improving one’s ability to talk about matters related to race and racism, systemic racism and how people can improve their abilities to promote better understanding among people of different races at work, as well as within other environments.

The School of Extended Education frequently hosts webinars on topics related to career development in the fields of K-12 education, business, behavioral health and data science. The school offers certificate programs and courses in several fields, including business, information technology, psychology and counseling and teaching. The School of Extended Education also coordinates with employers for corporate training services.
