Fairfield campus helps honor teachers, school employees in Solano County
The Fairfield campus was a premier sponsor for the annual Solano County Educator of the Year event on May 3 for the third year in a row. As part of the sponsorship, campus Director Linda Montenegro helped present awards and provided the Teacher of the Year and the Classified Employee of the Year with a Brandman University swag bag and an orchid plant.
The Solano County Office of Education recognized the university throughout the event for its partnership. Rhea Johnson, manager of Community and Corporate Relations for the campus, hosted an information table before and after the ceremony.
This year’s Teacher of the Year honor is Ana Farina, a 10th-12th grade AVID, AP psychology and history teacher at Vacaville High School. Farina started the AVID and AP psychology program at the school. She was also Teacher of the Year when she worked at Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District.
Betty Bradanini is the Classified Employee of the Year. Bradanini works as the administrative assistant to Special Educational Services Center at Vacaville Unified School District. Her great organization, confidentiality, patience and professionalism earned her the award, according to Janet Dietrich, director of human resources.
Montenegro said the Fairfield campus is pleased to be involved with the Solano County Educator of the Year program and honored to be asked to be a premier partner.
