Roseville 2015 connects university with Placer County community
Brandman University was well represented at Roseville 2015: Breakthrough Innovation, a special event presented by the Roseville Chamber of Commerce. Jessica Cone, Corporate and Community Relations manager, set up a Brandman booth and spoke with attendees in the exhibit hall. Roseville campus director Kimberly Pellow and Pat Hammer, assistant vice chancellor for the Northern Region, attended and Stephanie Dement, senior manager of Corporate and Community Relations, was one of the planning co-chairs of the event, which focused on innovation and workforce development. Roseville 2015 brought together nearly 700 local and regional business leaders, elected officials and community influencers.
Joe Cockrell, vice chancellor of communications, represented Brandman on a panel of higher education leaders in a special breakout session called “Roseville 2015 South Placer: The Future Leader in Workforce Development.” He spoke about Brandman’s history, how the university serves the community and explained the types of students served. He said Brandman’s emphasis on innovation and active engagement can help mold the future of the Placer County workforce.
