Student advocacy group forming
Early childhood education students at the Walnut Creek campus with help from faculty mentor Julianne Zvalo-Martyn are forming a new student advocacy group.
The first meeting will be Wednesday, April 8, at 7 p.m. and interested students can RSVP via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Students unable to attend in person can connect virtually at https://brandman.adobeconnect.com/jzmartyn/
Among the topics they’ll explore are a name and mission for the group, defining what members want from the group and working on a plan to market it. The organizers see it as a way for students to learn from each other, network and advocate for their educations and careers.
