Vice Chancellor Shelly Neal elected to Irvine Chamber of Commerce board
Shelly Neal, vice chancellor Strategic Initiatives at Brandman University, is the newest member of the Irvine Chamber of Commerce board of directors. She was elected to fill a board vacancy with a term that continues through June 2019.
The Irvine Chamber of Commerce promotes Irvine businesses while offering members a range of benefits, services, programs and information. They promote the city as both a place to do business and to visit, provide training and networking opportunities and advocate for the interests of the business community with federal, state and local officials.
The Irvine Chamber is has a Four Star Accreditation from the United States Chamber of Commerce, one of 223 in the nation to earn that rating and one of only seven in California to receive the distinction. Funding comes through member businesses, events, advertising and a voluntary assessment on sold hotel rooms.
As a member of Brandman’s senior staff, Neal oversees growth strategies at Brandman’s campuses through a network of Community and Corporate Relations managers, also known as outreach.
