Women in Leadership conference features Pearlman, Moodian
Assistant professor Dr. Catherine Pearlman and lead professional tutor Dr. Margaret Moodian were among the presenters at the recent Women in Leadership: Work-Life Balance Conference.
The third annual academic conference, sponsored by Pepperdine University, took place March 19-20, 2015 in Los Angeles. The conference engaged scholars and business professionals from all sectors.
Pearlman formed a panel with two other working mothers. They discussed their experiences starting their own companies and how to find the balance between life and work, touching on the benefits and challenges of owning a business, lessons learned and tips for anyone seeking to create their own business while also spending time with family.
Moodian discussed “Leaders Who Are Working Mothers: A Phenomenological Study.” She talked about the lives of working mothers in leadership positions and explored strategies that mothers use to implement a work-family balance process.
