Post Doctoral Certificate, Psychiatric and Mental Health NP

Post Doctoral Certificate, Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Attaining a post doctoral certificate can expand a nurse's professional practice, increase job opportunities, and meet the requirements to become nationally certified in a selected specialty area. The Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Post Doctoral Certificate explores subjects such as psychopharmacology, complex problems in family psychiatric care, industry management principles and psychotherapeutic treatment modalities.

A Brandman Doctoral Certificate is designed for nurse practitioners who have a Ph.D. or DNP and wish to add a specialty in one of our five nurse practitioner specialty areas. In addition to Psychiatric and Mental Health the school also offers the following post doctoral certificates:

Students in the Certificate program are required to attend 3 immersion sessions, one before the start of your clinical courses to learn procedures and one at the end of the program.

Students enrolled in a certificate program only are not eligible for financial aid.  Courses taken after completion of a degree program in order to complete the certificate are not eligible for financial aid.
