Award recognizes excellence of educational leaders throughout California

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (April 20, 2009) − Chapman University College today announced that Dr. Jeannie Steeg, a professor of education at the San Diego campus, was named administrator of the year by the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) for Region 18 covering San Diego and Imperial Counties.

Each year the ACSA recognizes outstanding performance and achievement by educational leaders such as principals, superintendents, administrators and professors. She will be honored at an awards dinner on Wednesday, April 29.

“Dr. Steeg’s accomplishment comes as no surprise to those of us who have worked closely with her at Chapman University College,” said John Slatinsky, director of Chapman University College’s San Diego campus. “Her exceptional leadership and extraordinary professionalism have been a benefit to our working students at the San Diego campus.”

Dr. Steeg has worked at Chapman University College since 1997.
