PayTrain Certification Exam Preparation

Individuals working in the payroll industry enjoy the flexibility of working for large or small companies or to work independently as a consultant. In cooperation with the American Payroll Association, the PayTrain Fundamentals and Mastery courses are ideal for seasoned professionals or new hires. These comprehensive courses provide students with a solid understanding of payroll compliance, payroll calculations, fringe benefits, employment taxes, record keeping, payroll accounting, management, and administration.

Who can benefit from these courses?

Project Management

Brandman University has partnered with MindEdge, Inc., a Global Registered Education Provider of the Project Management Institute, to offer online project management courses and simulations.

Microsoft Office Applications

Brandman University and New Horizons Southern California are partnering together to bring you accessible, easy and affordable ways to add to or develop your desktop application skills in Microsoft Office Suite versions 2003, 2007 and 2010.

Autism, Added Authorization/Certificate

Did you know that autism has grown 600% since 1991? We at Brandman University know that California’s teachers weren’t trained to manage the epidemic. We have sought to meet that need by launching one of California’s first state-approved Autism Authorization programs.

Our 4 course, 12 unit program provides either a CTC-designated authorization to serve learners with Autism Spectrum Disorders or a Certificate of Completion. Since Brandman classes are after hours and online, teachers can learn new skills and stay where they're needed: in the classroom.

Essentials of HR Management Certificate

Designed as a thorough introduction to HR basics, this SHRM course provides a solid foundation in HR understanding improving job performance across multiple job titles and functions. Appropriate for entry level HR staff, small business owners and office managers, managers and front line supervisors, and others working with teams and direct reports. Reduce the risk of potential high-cost litigation and promote a consistent understanding of the HR function within non-HR management.

Learning Circles

Learning Circles is designed for groups of three or more individuals who would like to get together to discuss a quality book, with the purpose of improving professional practice. The courses are based on a book chosen by participants using the guidelines and rubric provided in the syllabus. This program is ideal for after-school planning, grade-level meetings, book clubs, or other venues that encourage meaningful professional discussions.
