Ramendra (Ram) Singh serves as vice chancellor of marketing and chief marketing officer at Brandman University. He oversees all marketing functions including digital and traditional media, brand development, marketing operations, marketing analytics, public relations, and communication.
Ram is an accomplished marketing leader with global experience, spanning from Fortune 500 companies in various sectors to global leaders in higher education. Prior to joining Brandman University he served as a senior marketing executive at Laureate Education, a multi-national company providing education solutions through a network of campus-based and online universities throughout the world. Under his leadership, the flagship brand of Laureate – Walden University, along with a specialized vertical consisting of multiple hospitality, art, and design schools – significantly increased enrollments.
Ram spent his initial career as a management consultant for consumer companies, which solidified his base as an individual who could look at the various facets of a business problem – competition, economic cycle dependency, competitive advantage, target segment, market share, and more. He has also served in senior-level executive roles at AOL, Sprint-Nextel, CampusU and Simplexity.
Ram earned an MBA in Marketing and Strategy from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at University of Maryland and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the IIT University System in India.
