IRVINE, Calif. (June 6, 2016) — In honor of Brandman University graduate Bryan Fazio, the university will award $1,000 scholarship for the Fall I 2016 term to two registered students who are military veterans in good academic standing and who have a medical condition or disability.
The Bryan Fazio Scholarship honors the perseverance and triumph of one of Brandman’s most inspirational graduates. Fazio was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Hodgkin’s lymphoma while serving in the Navy. He was told by doctors that he had just nine months to live. Upon hearing the news, Fazio doubled up on his graduate level courses, receiving his MBA in August 2013. Fazio is now pursuing his law degree.
To apply for the scholarship, registered Brandman student veterans in good academic standing with a medical condition or disability should submit a 500- to 1,000-word essay on where they see themselves in five years and how their Brandman education will help them achieve their goals. Prior Fazio Scholarship recipients are not eligible to apply. Essays should include name, campus, email address and phone number. Submit them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The deadline for submissions is 11:59 p.m. on Monday, August 15, 2016.
